What is it? BMW unveiled the Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) Facelift M2 in July 2017. At the front, new, full LED headlights offer of BMW’s signature twin-circle design, the rear sees single-piece full LED taillights with BMW’s classic “L” shape. Inside saw the gauge cluster which is now a beautiful LCD configuration replacing the standard needle clock design from the previous model.

The M2 Competition, was based on the LCI M2 but taken a little further, the cosmetic changes were subtle with M3/4 Sports front seats, the previous M2 were crying out for, a more aggressive front bumper, grilles, change of wheel style and darkened rear lights. Whilst the mechanical changes were far more dramatic - The old M135/140 derived 3-litre straight-six has been ditched in favour of the full-fat S55 twin-turbocharged version from the larger M3/4. A host of chassis strengthening, bracing, suspension and geometry changes. BMW’s engineers have also re-calibrated both the ESP and the electronically controlled limited slip differential. Additional buttons for these can be found in the centre console

The result is 404bhp and 406lb ft (increases of 39bhp and 37lb ft respectively). and 0-60 in just 4.2 Seconds, 155 Mph Limited Top Speed.
